Frequently Asked Questions

Which payment methods do you accept?

We use PayPal which allows us to accept most major credit/debit cards

What is your policy for damages or loss?

We understand that stuff happens. Minor damages can be overlooked. However, you can be held liable for lost, severely damaged or mis-used equipment. By signing our waiver you will have agreed to pay up to $500 on your credit card to cover these losses should they occur.

What kind of wildlife can be seen?

There is always a possibility of seeing dolphins, manatees, birds, sharks, fish, alligators, otters, and so much more. The most wonderful thing about kayaking is that you can be quiet and just sit in your boat observing from afar while the wildlife goes about their normal day. As with all wildlife, please be respectful and give them their space.

What are your hours of operation?

Our business hours are 9am to 6pm Closed on Wednesdays.
Our launch hours are 30 mins before sunup to approximately 4pm.
Last pick-up for all rentals is 1 hour before sunset.

Due to limited number of boats, We recommend 24 hr reservations.

Is there a late return fee?

Yes. To ensure our agreements are kept with other customers that may have scheduled a boat after you,  a "late returns fee" may be levied on your credit card if you have not expressly communicated in a reasonable amount of time with Eagle Ray Kayaks prior to your scheduled return. The "late return fee" will be no less than $20 for the first half-hour and $10 for each half-hour increment following, rounding to the next half-hour. A half hour grace period exists beyond the agreed return time.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, up and to the point of rental equipment transfer. Once you take possession of the rented equipment a refund will no longer be offered.

How should I prepare for my trip?

You'll want to choose comfortable clothing that can get wet. Make sure to put on sunscreen and possibly wear a hat and sunglasses. Always pack water and maybe even a few snacks or a meal to enjoy. I like to have my camera and phone (in a dry bag) with me and some bug spray just in case.
